The "Revised" Ticket

Below please find the surprise which awaited me when I went to Municipal Court in Independence, Missouri on 10-23-08.

Although my attorney had been of the opinion, on 10-20-08, that the witnesses for the prosecution would not show up, two of them did. I can only suppose that, since no one showed up on 9-11, it was a result of the mailer which SMTV!! sent out to the 122 Election Directors in Missouri. But, that is just a guess.

Why the two men, John Slama (the "Leroy" wearing badge member of the team and Dale Swalander, the fellow making the call were the perjuring witnesses). Of note, the unnamed "chest-bumper" did not show up.

But please note the "revised" charges, of which I was notified only when I got to court. They now claim I "endangered the lawful pursuit of John Slama" by "raising my voice and/or pounding on the table".

False charges, at best, but (supposedly) "raising one's voice" in asking "Why?", when being illegally asked for State ID, when four different kinds were already offered to the Election Judges, hardly seems a reason to have someone taken away in chains, as I was.

I have already filed for a new trial, which is scheduled for 11-17-2008, and I will be given the opportunity to ask for a jury trial. However, legal bills are mounting and the ACLU, as well as the Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, have now opted out, citing the "disorderly conduct" charge.

Perhaps it is just a matter of grinding one down, when one stands alone, until there is no more resistance. We shall see.

The Ticket

Below is the cleaned up (somewhat, by Adobe PhotoShop) image of the Independence, Missouri ticket which I was given when I went to vote on August 5th, 2008 primary election.

I present this as proof that this trip through Alice's Looking Glass and thence into the Weird World of the Mad Queen of Hearts did, indeed, occur. You, perhaps, believed the story from the start. Myself, having been through it, sometimes wake at night and have to pinch myself. When that doesn't work, I come look at this image.

Galloglas arrested today when he went to vote !!!!

I will try to be as brief as possible with the description of my day as I can manage. But, since there are some sticky points, I will also try to be clear and complete. If anyone finds questions still hanging after reading this entry, and the comments already made above in response to Proud2Blib's post, I will gladly answer.

I, Galloglas, went to vote today and encountered difficuly. And, it is important to point out that this was not the first time I've run onto problems this year.
